The interdisciplinary nature of BCMB is reflected in our curriculum.
We follow guidelines set by our national society, American Association For Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, which prepares you well for the GRE subject exam in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology.
Students interested in molecular research and graduate study in the basic sciences might consider the B.S. degree. It consists of a balance of core and advanced classes directed toward graduate work in the molecular sciences.
The core courses are taken from biology (cell, molecular, genetics), chemistry (organic, biochemistry), math (calculus), research, and seminar. Advanced classes include those in physics and advanced chemistry (analytical chemistry, biophysical chemistry).
