Bachelor of Arts in Biology

University Requirements:

• Minimum of 120 credit hours
• 40 of those hours must be in courses numbered 100 or above
• Must have 2.00 cumulative GPA overall and in all major or minor areas
• Have completed all Areas of Inquiry (AOI)

Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.):

• Minimum 34 credit hours in biology
• Must take at least one course in each of the five spheres of biology (molecular and cellular processes, biological diversity, systems biology, ecology/evolution, applications of biological principles)
• Must take at least two credits of experiential courses.
• Must have six biology lab courses regardless of the number of credits/lab
• MUST take one of MATH 050 (Calculus I), or a combination of Math 020 (Precalculus: Algebra, & Trigonometry), plus CS 065 (Introduction to Computer Science), or Math 020 (Precalculus: Algebra, & Trigonometry) plus BIO 140 (Biological Research and Statistical Methods)
