Bachelor of Science in Biology

University Requirements:

• Minimum of 124 credit hours
• 40 of those hours must be in courses numbered 100 or above
• Must have 2.00 cumulative GPA overall and in all major or minor areas
• Have completed all Areas of Inquiry (AOI)

Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.):

• Minimum 34 credit hours in biology
• Must take at least one course in each of the four spheres of biology (molecular and cellular processes, biological diversity, systems biology, ecology/evolution, applications of biological principles); at least one course in your chosen area of focus and an experiential course.
• Must have six biology lab courses regardless of the number of credits/lab
• B.S. MUST take all of the B.A. requirements PLUS BIO 140 (Biological Research & Statistical Methods) AND two credits of BIO 197L (Undergraduate Research) or advisor-approved equivalent
