The Center sponsors and co-sponsors a variety of campus events and activities related to global, international, and multi-cultural topics throughout the year.
Faculty, staff, students, academic units, and student organizations are invited to propose speakers, panel discussions, films, cultural events, class visitors, or other relevant activities that may benefit from sponsorship in the form of funding, promotions, and logistics (if applicable). Applicants should be prepared to take primary responsibility for organizing the activity.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and must be submitted using the online form. Applicants should allow for sufficient lead-time both for consideration of the proposal and for adequate planning and implementation of the activity. In-person, hybrid, and virtual activities will be considered.
Priority will be given to proposals that address one of the following priority areas:
Applications should include the following:
Although there is no predetermined cap on the amount of funding that may be requested, applicants are encouraged to seek funding from multiple sources for requests exceeding $1,000.
The amount of funding awarded is based on availability of funds; proposals will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until funds are expended. Funds will be awarded at the sole discretion of the Global Engagement Grants Review Committee, including what expenses may be covered.
