Examples of Pathways
- Click on the links to learn how you can use the Pathways to help address specific social issues, with examples of how to get involved locally here at Drake and in Des Moines. These examples can be translated to almost any social issue - reach out to a Community Engagement Peer or staff member in the Office of Community Engaged Learning to discuss specific ways you can get involved.
There are many ways to get involved in the community here at Drake!
- Get involved with a service-oriented student organization
- Apply for funding to execute a service project in partnership with a local community agency
- Find a volunteer opportunity in the community
- Volunteer with the Sprout Learning Garden or recover food from the dining halls with Next Course Food Recovery, or see what other programs Drake has to offer
- Sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date with opportunities and upcoming events
- Take a Community Engaged Learning course - look for the CEL attribute when registering
