Gus Bassani, PharmD, has been with PCCA since September 2002, and currently serves as Vice-President of Consulting, R&D, and Formulations.

Since 1981, PCCA has been a complete resource for high-quality pharmaceutical ingredients, equipment, facility workflow, devices, flavors, ACPE-accredited training and education, pharmacy software, as well as pharmacy, management, and marketing consultation necessary for a successful compounding practice.

Prior to joining PCCA, Dr. Bassani was a formulation pharmacist in the Product Development Lab of a veterinary pharmaceutical company. He has worked in multiple pharmacy practice settings, located in Alaska, Iowa, and Kansas, and has taught extemporaneous compounding principles to pharmacy students in Drake University's Pharmaceutics Laboratory course. Gus received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He is a member of the 2010 – 2015 United States Pharmacopeia Council of Experts - Compounding Expert Committee. He is a member of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP), American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS). Dr. Bassani currently serves on the Board of Directors for IACP.
