Patty Kumbera

Background: Patty Kumbera is President of Kumbera Solutions, located in Johnston, Iowa. She is also the former COO of PrescribeWellness (a Tabula Rasa Healthcare Company), Vice President of Pharmacy at TempAlert (now SmartSense - a Digi Company), and co-founder and Chief Operating Officer for Outcomes Pharmaceutical Health Care. Patty is a registered pharmacist and received a BS degree in Pharmacy from Drake University in 1988. She gained experience in both independent and chain community practice settings as a staff pharmacist and pharmacy manager.

In addition to her Kumbera Solutions responsibilities, Patty has been an active contributor to organized pharmacy on the local, state, and national levels for many years and was named one of the American Druggist's 50 Most Influential Pharmacists. Patty currently serves as a member of the Strategic and Tactical Analysis Team of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and received their APPM Distinguished Achievement Award in Pharmacy Management in 2013. She also served on the AMCP Framework Committee and the National Institute for Pharmacist Care Outcomes (NIPCO) Board. She is a member of the American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA), Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), Central Iowa Pharmacists Association (CIPA), and the Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA). She is currently an externship preceptor and adjunct faculty for Drake University, University of Iowa, Creighton, and UMKC Doctor of Pharmacy Students.

Patty has served her community through her volunteerism as a member of the Bernie Lorenz Recovery Center Board of Directors, a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, golf partner to husband Tod, and of course, lead-cheerleader of her 2 children's activities.
