Drake University Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. June Johnson, was recognized as the recipient of the 2016 C. Boyd Granberg Professional Leadership Award presented by the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The award recognizes and celebrates the contributions of faculty members who demonstrate sustained and significant leadership in professional organizations and inspire students toward professional involvement. The award shares DELTA Rx’s desire to foster ongoing personal and professional development of pharmacy faculty, recognize leadership role models, and encourage involvement by students in professional organizations.
After receiving the award, Dr. Johnson provided a lecture as part of the College’s Student Leadership Development series. In her lecture, “My L-phabet for Leadership,” Johnson presents her leadership philosophy and speaks of the lessons and experiences that have brought her to her position today. Johnson shares of her involvement in pharmacy and highlights the value of leadership, professionalism, and passion in the field. To hear more of the C.
