An Invitation in Celebration of Native American Heritage Month
My name is Jasmine Scott. I am a first-year student studying pre-med on a biology track. I am an indigenous woman from the Colorado River Indian Tribes reservation in Arizona. I am Hopi from my mother's side and Mohave from my father's side.
My experience here at Drake has been a change of pace from home. But I am so excited that I have the opportunity to explore someplace new.
To recognize Native American Heritage month, I want to personally encourage you to come out and see Tanaya Winder on Nov.14 in Cartwright Hall, Room 206. She’ll be offering a presentation called “Words as Seeds.”
