The associate provost for equity and inclusion will be sharing details about a newly created Incident Response Plan, which will sit in the Emergency Management structure of the University. The purpose of the plan will be to ensure greater transparency and expedite communication in response to crises related to bias-incidents and/or hate-crimes on campus by the end of November.
The Office of Equity and Inclusion will be launching a new webpage to collate resources, engage frequently asked questions, and provide community education about incidents of bias. I want to thank every student, staff person, and faculty member who has offered feedback, articulated needs, and raised critical questions about our response processes over the last six months. Your voices and experiences have been invaluable as we’ve moved this project forward.
Stay tuned . . .
