Drake's hometown, Des Moines—a hub of business, government, and culture—offers abundant opportunities for internships, professional growth, and careers. Zimpleman finance majors are encouraged to participate in research and gain experience through internships. Virtually all juniors and seniors are placed in a desired internship, which includes positions in the financial services industry and corporate financial management. Internships vary in length and the type of work performed by the student.
