At Drake, developing global leaders starts with expanding how you see and engage with the world. Through academics, co-curricular experiences, and meaningful cross-cultural connections, you’ll build the knowledge, empathy, and adaptability needed to lead in an interconnected society.

From the classroom to communities around the world, global leadership at Drake is about understanding diverse perspectives, collaborating across cultures, and using that insight to drive positive change—both locally and globally.

Global Leaders Corps

Entering first-year students passionate about global experiences, issues, and leadership can apply to be part of this selective program. Gain access to benefits such as a study-abroad grant, specialized mentoring, and leadership opportunities with the Young African Leaders Initiative or another program.

Each GLC cohort is comprised of a select group of incoming first-year students with a commitment to the development of a global and intercultural skill set and mindset in support of responsible global citizenship.
