Health Sciences Curricular Options

The Health Sciences curriculum is flexible in order to serve the needs of a variety of health care career interests.  Students choose to focus their education according to one of three majors, depending on their areas of interest: Clinical and Medical SciencesHealth Care Administration, or Public Health.

Clinical and Medical Sciences majors have the option for the Three to a Health Sciences Degree. This option allows students to complete their BS in Health Sciences - Clinical and Medical Sciences major in three years - an excellent option for students who plan to pursue post-graduate degree options like medical school, physical therapy, physicians’ assistant and other masters or doctoral degrees.

Students in the health sciences have the opportunity to complete additional academic opportunities that will add value to their Drake education.  A variety of double majors, minors and concentrations can be added to any Health Sciences major.

Billing and Financial Aid

Billing and Financial Aid information for Drake programs

Students are encouraged to consult with the Drake University Student Financial Planning Office regarding tuition and financial assistance available for Drake professional and graduate programs.

Billing and Financial Aid for programs not offered at Drake

When enrolled at Drake, students will pay Drake tuition and receive financial aid from Drake. During the year(s) of the program students will be billed at the other institution's tuition rate and receive financial aid from that institution. Students should seek to understand their costs at the other institution during the planning and prior to enrolling in the joint degree program at Drake, as the annual cost may vary significantly.

Should students not complete their coursework at the other institution and decide to return to Drake University, they will no longer be eligible for their Drake tuition guarantee. They will be responsible for the current University tuition rate.
