Program Overview

The purpose of the Adams Leadership Institute is to:

1. Enhance students’ academic studies with personal development and leadership skills
2. Apply tangible leadership practices to students’ personal, academic, and professional lives
3. Provide students with an intentional community of leaders at Drake University

The Adams Leadership Institute helps students build:

• Self-Awareness: Knowing individual values, strengths, and talents and acknowledging shortcomings to improve personal wellbeing
• Collaboration: Enhancing leadership skills and techniques by developing positive, productive, and healthy relationships with others
• Perspective: Seeking to understand the perspectives of others as an active leader within chosen community and profession

 Students admitted to the Adams Leadership Institute gain these skills through a series of three leadership training modules, designed to equip students with the skills described above. Click below to learn more:
