Program Overview
The purpose of the Adams Leadership Institute is to:
- Enhance students’ academic studies with personal development and leadership skills
- Apply tangible leadership practices to students’ personal, academic, and professional lives
- Provide students with an intentional community of leaders at Drake University
The Adams Leadership Institute helps students build:
- Self-Awareness: Knowing individual values, strengths, and talents and acknowledging shortcomings to improve personal wellbeing
- Collaboration: Enhancing leadership skills and techniques by developing positive, productive, and healthy relationships with others
- Perspective: Seeking to understand the perspectives of others as an active leader within chosen community and profession
Students admitted to the Adams Leadership Institute gain these skills through a series of three leadership training modules, designed to equip students with the skills described above. Click below to learn more:
