Filing your FAFSA
- If you have already filed a FAFSA, complete the 2024 - 2025 FAFSA now.
- If you have already filed the 2024-2025 FAFSA, be sure that Drake is listed as a school to receive your FAFSA information.
- If you have submitted the 2024-2025 FAFSA to Drake and have not received a financial aid offer, contact the Financial Aid Office.
- If you received a request from Drake for additional information, please respond as quickly as possible. You may also log in to the Financial Aid Self Service to see if you have any outstanding requirements or items.
- If you plan to attend summer 2025, fall 2025, and/or spring 2026, you will need to complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA (anticipated in October 2024). The 2025-2026 FAFSA is based on 2023 IRS tax information.
Other Important Steps
- Keep your address, telephone number, etc. updated in MyDrake.
- Remember to have all transcripts forwarded to the Office of Admission as soon as possible. Credit evaluation is important in determining your federal student loan eligibility.
- If you already have a Drake financial aid award offer and want to accept your offered Federal Direct Student loan, do so in the Financial Aid Portal.
- As a first time borrower at Drake, you may need to complete Entrance Loan Counseling and/or Master Promissory Note.
The Financial Aid Office is located in Carnegie Hall, directly north of Cole Hall (Admissions Office). You can schedule an appointment or stop by during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).
