If you haven’t changed your Drake password from the initial default password (your birthdate in MonDD#YYYY format, Example: Jan01#1997), please change your password by going to the Password Manager at https://password.drake.edu. You will also be able to set up recovery options in case you forget your password later.
Your initial password will only work to log into the Password manager site. All other Drake systems require an updated and more secure password for access.
Update Emergency Contact information by logging into my.drake.edu then selecting Self Service. Navigate to the Personal Information card and update relevant contacts under My Information.
Learn about the student tech information you’ll need by going to www.drake.edu/its/students. There you’ll find information including how to connect to the campus wireless network, computer recommendations and discounts, campus printing details, and how to get your game system connected (including requesting a wired connection in your residence hall, if needed).
Beginning July 1, complete the Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates and Alcohol EDU trainings. Find them on MyDrake under Learning Resources, then select Mandatory Student Training.
Upload your (future) Drake ID photo: You can upload the picture you want to use in your Drake ID. You can set up your ID at orientation, but in order to do so, you must upload your preferred ID picture at least 48 hours ahead of orientation. Once your photo has been approved, you’ll be able to add a Mobile Drake ID to your phone and/or smartwatch to use as your campus identification as a Drake student.
We are launching Course Ready in the fall of 2024 as the ultimate student resource for success and convenience. Course Ready takes care of the logistics by providing textbooks and required course materials for undergraduate students.
