Pre-Pharmacy and PharmD FAQ

Welcome to the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences' Admission FAQ page.  This page will address common questions that we receive from students who are interested in applying to pre-pharmacy and our Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.  

Students may be admitted to pre-pharmacy directly from high school and, after completing the established criteria, may be admitted to the four-year professional program.  Upon approval from the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, students may transfer into pre-pharmacy if space is available.  Students who complete their prerequisite coursework at another regionally accredited institution or in a major other than pre-pharmacy at Drake can apply directly to our PharmD program.
