Rave Guardian Mobile App
The Rave Guardian mobile phone app is available as a free download for all Drake University students, faculty, and staff. The app enhances safety on campus through real-time, interactive features that create a virtual safety network of friends, family, and Drake’s Department of Public Safety.
Features Include:
- Panic Button—Direct and immediate connection to Drake Public Safety while sharing real-time location and profile data to make sure help can get to you quickly.
- Tip Texting—Enables anonymous, two-way crime tip reporting through text/image messaging.
- Personal Guardians & Safety Timer—Set a Safety Timer in the app and identify a "Guardian", which can be Public Safety, friends, roommates, or family. During a timer session, your "Guardian" and Public Safety can view your profile—which can include medical conditions, address, and photo—and monitor your location. If the Safety Timer is not deactivated manually before it expires, Public Safety is automatically provided with your Rave Guardian profile to proactively identify and check in on you.

Bulldog Alerts
The Bulldog Alerts system provides quick, reliable updates and important information during major campus situations. Together, these tools help you stay aware, supported, and connected wherever you are on campus.
To adjust your preferences on how you receive Bulldog Alerts, follow the steps below:
- Log into myDrake at my.drake.edu.
- Under the Campus Resources column, select "Bulldog Alerts Settings".
- Add all methods in which you would like to receive an alert. (Options include: text, call, and email.)

Opting Out of Bulldog Alerts
I'm no longer a student or employee at Drake. How do I opt out of Bulldog Alerts?
If you're no longer at Drake University due to graduation, withdrawal, retirement, or any other reason, you don't need to unsubscribe from Bulldog Alerts. You'll be automatically removed from the system on our next weekly update, which takes place overnight on Sundays.
