Important Dates for the Residence Hall 2024-2025

New First Year & Transfer Student Move-In: Wednesday, August 21, 2024**

Returning Student Move-In: Friday, August 23, 2024**

*Students will need to sign up for a move in time slot. Emails will be sent to the students drake.edu email on August 1^st.

Winter Break All Halls Close: Saturday, December 14, 2024 at noon.

J-Term Housing: Only students who are enrolled in an on-campus or partial on-campus J-Term courses, who have an academic year residence hall assignment in a J-Term Hall may return beginning Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 3:00pm. There are additional room and board charges for J-Term.

J-Term housing will end Saturday, January 25, 2025, at noon.

Halls Open for Spring Semester: January 25, 2025, at noon.

Spring Break Closing (Carpenter, Crawford, Herriott, Stalnaker): TBA

Spring Break Opening (Carpenter, Crawford, Herriott, Stalnaker): TBA

Spring Semester Closing (Carpenter, Crawford, Herriott, Stalnaker): Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Noon.

Spring Semester Closing (Goodwin Kirk, Jewett): Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 5:00 pm.

Interim Hall Opens: Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Noon.

Meal Plan Changes: Students will receive an email to their drake.edu email with the directions on when and how to make changes to their meal plan. Students can change their meal plan selection online, the month that classes will begin, (Fall/August, Spring/January) through the first Thursday of classes for each term within the academic year. After this date has passed the meal plan cannot be changed. **
