Student Health Insurance

In 2014, due to low enrollment, Drake discontinued offering health insurance to domestic Drake students.

Therefore, parents or students will need to explore other options, including state and federal public exchange plans and high-risk pool plans by visiting www.healthcare.gov. 

Parents can also elect to keep their child on their current plan as well. 

International Student
Health Insurance Plan 

International students will automatically be enrolled into the Drake-offered Student Health Insurance Plan. 

If the international student wants to enroll a spouse and/or dependents into their plan, you will need to contact the Drake International Department at 515-271-2084.
