Anna Fountain Clark, Ph.D., MPA

Assistant Professor of Public Administration

Dr. Anna Clark received her Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2016 and joined the Drake University Zimpleman College of Business faculty in fall 2017. Dr. Clark teaches courses in nonprofit management, research design, and organizational theory and behavior, and she supervises student research in the MPA Capstone course. Her research focuses on the expression of diversity and inclusion priorities in public agencies, the manifestation of organizational interests (e.g., innovation, inclusiveness, engagement) as internal practices, and how managers’ behaviors affect both employee attitudes and agency outcomes.

She has published in Journal of Public and Nonprofit Affairs, Public Administration Quarterly, Public Personnel Management, and the International Journal for Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Marketing. Committed to both the scholarship and practice of public administration, Dr. Clark is a member of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) and the ASPA Section for Women in Public Administration, as well as several honor societies: Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and Pi Alpha Alpha, the national honor society for public administration.
