Jimmy D. Senteza, Ph.D., CFA

Deputy Provost for Academic Affairs and Professor of Finance

Jimmy D. Senteza has been at the Drake University Zimpleman College of Business since 2000. He serves as the Deputy Provost for Academic Affairs at Drake University. Previously, he served as the Director of the Nelson Institute as well as the Faculty Senate President. He has taught several courses in corporate finance, international finance, investments, and portfolio management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His main research interests are asset pricing, finance pedagogy, investment management, applications of behavioral finance, and the understanding of emerging capital markets. His academic manuscripts have appeared in the Journal of Real Estate Research, Journal of Applied Business Research, Financial Decisions, Journal of the Academy of Business Education, Journal of Financial Education, and The Journal of Business and Behavioral Sciences. He is a member of the CFA Society of Iowa and the CFA Society of East Africa.
