Drake regularly welcomes students and professionals on-campus for customized inbound programs.
These are special programs completely tailored to meet the specific needs of a group - program length, theme, format, timing and curriculum are all customizable. The Global Partnerships team work directly with partners to collaborate on the program planning, putting into action Drake's expertise and extensive network, from internships placements, professional site visits and guest lectures.
In recent years, Drake has hosted a two-week leadership seminar for students from Uganda, a custom semester program on the U.S. legal system for students from China, and the Young African Leaders Initiative.

This program is part of a long-standing reciprocal student seminar: Drake and MUBS students are paired in Uganda for a three-week summer session on sustainable development. The following spring, the same MUBS students travel to the U.S. for their leadership seminar. Drake has hosted MUBS students for more than 10 years and sent Drake students to MUBS for more than 14 years!
For the fourth time, the Drake Law School hosted students from our global partner institution in China for a custom semester-long program on the U.S. legal system. Twenty-four SWUPL students participated in activities throughout Greater Des Moines, including a panel by leading women mediators; visit to an international law firm; and observation of an actual jury trial.
