Every student is eligible to run for a Student Senate position, and as a member you’ll play an important part in campus life.

Leadership Concentration
Drake’s undergraduate concentration in leadership allows you to gain skills that are essential to elevating yourself in your profession and community. This hands-on interdisciplinary minor is open to all Drake students, regardless of major.
Donald V. Adams Leadership Institute
The Institute offers a variety of programs focused on leadership training, with emphasis on everything from what it means to be a leader to strategies for promoting intercultural conflict resolution.

At Drake, service is a way of life, something every fraternity and sorority, many volunteer student organizations and religious groups, and lots of individual students dedicate themselves to every term.

Drake’s Office of Community Engaged Learning & Service provides students with numerous programs and countless opportunities to make a difference in Des Moines and surrounding communities.
