The end of the semester is a great time to reflect upon any volunteer and community engagement experience students have had over the year. Students are encouraged to log their service hours on www.drake.edu/dugood, and can pull a service transcript of their experiences to consider for inclusion on resumes and to talk about in interviews. Common skills gained while doing community work include collaboration, problem solving, and communication. Students can also reach out to the CEL Office to talk about different ways to get involved in the community! E-mail servicelearning@drake.edu or stop by the lower level of Cowles Library.
