Street Painting - Saturday, April 20th and Sunday, April 21st

• Painted Street Street Painting is one of Drake’s biggest traditions during Relays! Organizations will gather at Painted Street to paint their own interpretation of Drake’s Relays theme for this year.

Beautiful Bulldog Contest - Sunday, April 21st at 1:00pm in the Knapp Center

• Stop by at the Knapp Center for the 45th Annual Beautiful Bulldog Contest to see some very cute bulldogs!

Vault at Jordan Creek - Monday, April 22 at 6:00pm in Jordan Creek Mall

• This is going to be an event you all will not want to miss! This event is where Drake’s best vault athletes will compete inside of the Jordan Creek Mall, but that is just the beginning of the fun that will be going on. There will be tons of people, free giveaways, food, and more! Come and support and have fun off campus!

T-Shirt Screen Printing - Tuesday, April 23 at 12:00pm in Olmsted Breezeway

• Stop by in between classes to receive this year’s Relays T-shirts and tote bags! Shirts will be white, and bags tan, with the official logo printed on them. There will be a limited quantity, so be sure to get yours ASAP!

Grand Blue Mile Date - Tuesday, April 23 at 6:00pm at Downtown Des Moines

• This year marks the 8th year of the Grand Blue Mile presented by Wellmark Blue Cross Blueshield.

Foam Pit Party Date - Tuesday, April 23 at 7:00pm in Olmsted - Circle Pit

• Lights! Live Music! Foam?! Bring your friends and party with us outside Olmsted for a unique and memorable party!

Relays Carnival - Wednesday, April 24 at 12:00 - 4:00pm on Helmick Commons 

• Come join us at Helmick Commons where there will be inflatables, go-karts, delicious food, student performances, and more!  

Dodgeball - Thursday, April 25 at 7:00pm in the Bell Center

• GET READY! SET! RUSH! We collaborated with DrakeRec this year to host a dodgeball tournament. To play, you must sign-up through the DrakeRec app with a group of at least 5 players.

Paint It Black with Coalition of Black Students-Friday, April 26, 4pm on Painted Street

• The tradition of Paint It Black began in November of 2018 when the Drake community gathered on Painted Street to cover student organizations’ squares with black paint. This act was meant to symbolize Drake University’s solidarity with students of color on campus. Every year since then, the Coalition of Black Students (CBS) hosts Paint It Black during Relays week to serve as a constant reminder that Drake can and needs to do better when it comes to supporting and protecting students of color.  

Drake Relays Concert - Friday, April 26 at 9:00pm on Forest Avenue

• Drake University’s largest student-run event of the year will take place on Friday, April 26th at 8pm. Come to Forest Avenue, outside Drake Stadium, to listen to this year’s Relays Artists!
