SJMC grad leading Everclass

Greg Swan, JO’03, will lead the Drake University Everclass Future-Proofed Marketing: You, Me, & Our Cyborg Audiences, Nov. 12 at noon.

About the class: Your brand’s target audience is no longer human. They are hooked into the always-on digital landscape via their phones, TV, laptops, cars, smart homes, shopping loyalty programs, and more. One could argue we are all cyborgs now. The robots aren’t just coming: we are the robots now.

So, what does this evolution mean for marketing and communications at-scale? In this session, join Drake alum Greg Swan, JO’03, for a conversation exploring the latest trends in digital, social, A.I., and emerging technology to unpack how these changes are impacting increasingly digital-first audiences.

About Greg Swan: Greg Swan is a senior marketing leader at FINN Partners, specializing in creative strategies and emerging technologies for brands. He has led award-winning campaigns for clients like Arby’s, Nike, and State Farm, including groundbreaking projects such as the first Facebook 360º Super Bowl spot and the first tweet from space. Recognized by PRWeek and Business Journal’s “40 Under 40,” Greg is also a futurist, speaker, and author of the “Social Signals” newsletter. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Drake University and serves on industry advisory boards like SXSW and The Shorty Awards.

Help with student survey

Please help senior Maria Heath complete her Women’s and Gender Studies capstone by completing this survey. The survey asks about the development of political beliefs but not any opinions on specific issues. The survey intro has details about how privacy will be ensured.

Maria’s focus is Gen Z people who grew up in the Midwest and stayed here for college but is open to any Gen Z students completing the survey that grew up in the Midwest or moved here to attend college as that may reveal different perspectives.
