Your Mobile Drake ID is your official campus ID and key to daily life at Drake. It provides access to residence halls and academic buildings, lets you use meal plans and Bulldog Bucks, ride campus and city transit, and check out resources across campus.

What can I do with my Drake ID?

  • Access buildings you have been authorized to enter outside normal operating hours.
  • Check out items at Cowles Library.
  • Use the Bell Recreational Center.
  • Ride the Drake Safe Ride Bus and Des Moines DART bus system free of charge.
  • Purchase meals through your meal plan or Bulldog Bucks.
  • Attend Drake Athletic Events.

What if I don't/can't use a mobile Drake ID?

If you’re unable to use a Mobile Drake ID, contact Student Services to discuss alternative credential options. You can also review frequently asked questions about the Mobile Drake ID for more details.

What if I had a physical ID before Mobile ID rollout?

Students, faculty, and staff who had a physical Drake ID before the mobile credential rollout may continue using their physical card, their mobile ID, or both. If you choose to replace a lost physical Drake ID instead of switching to a mobile ID, a $50 replacement fee applies. Replacement cards may take additional time to arrive, as they are ordered through an external vendor.

Providing a photo

Just like a drivers license or passport, you must have a photo loaded to your account before you can complete your Mobile Drake ID setup.

Either visit Student Services to have a photo taken by our staff or submit your own photo online.
