Our organization aims to shed light on the career path of consultant pharmacy (pharmacy for geriatric patients and long-term care patients). We work to educate pharmacy students, pharmacists, and the general community about health issues that geriatric populations experience and how to best serve those populations as pharmacists. We hope to bring awareness to issues that affect geriatric populations and encourage more health professionals to learn about this group of people as they are often overlooked in all parts of our healthcare system.

The mission of Drake University's ASHP chapter is to support student pharmacists in the pursuit of their careers in pharmacy by fostering professional development, leadership, and advocacy for optimal patient care. We aim to align with ASHP’s national mission of helping people achieve better health outcomes through safe, effective, and accessible medication use.  Our goals include preparing students for residency training, promoting awareness of clinical pharmacy careers, and creating opportunities for mentorship, community service, and continuing education.

A worldwide group of individuals seeking to serve Christ and the world through Pharmacy. At Drake, we provide grab-and-go breakfast during finals week, host a speaker each semester, and volunteer with Free Clinics of Iowa at Christ the King. By collaborating with Novus Medicus and the Christian Medical and Dental Association at Des Moines University, there are additional opportunities to join a bible study or attend any of their events.
