Our organization focuses on service, fellowship, and leadership, with service being our biggest pillar and commitment. We hope to collaborate with other groups around campus and the community and put on our own events with these pillars in mind.
Big Brothers Big Sisters @ Drake connects the Drake University community with the mission and activities of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa. While not a part of the actual program itself, the student organization helps recruit students to become a part of their community-based and school-based program and supports fundraising efforts. Members mentor students who are struggling academically, socially, or just need a friend they can talk to, one-on-one, for 4 hours a month.
DUDM is a fundraising organization that raises money and awareness for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital! We plan fun events for students and our Miracle Families to partake in throughout the year! We hold fundraising events throughout the year and have educational sessions on the best fundraising methods for participants.
Next Course strives to combat food waste by recovering food from Hubbell and the surrounding cafés on campus. We strive to create an environmental impact by preventing waste, but also a social impact by working with our community partners.
